Jo-Wilfried Tsonga admits there is a significant amount of pressure in playing for France against Switzerland in the Davis Cup final, which will be held in Lille, November 21-23.
Tsonga will play along with Richard Gasquet, Gael Monfils, and Gilles Simon. The Swiss will have Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka on their side.
“It is everything to gain as much to lose,” Tsonga told the French press. “Obviously, it's a little scary.
“If you play tennis it is to have these moments, moments of adrenaline, where it gets dangerous. It is a bit masochistic.”
However, Tsonga says he is feeling better this week after being hurt for much of September and October.
“It's a good thing and I feel good physically,” Tsonga said at the Paris Masters, where he lost to Kei Nishikori in three sets. “It was good to return to the highest level.
“Today was a good match. What will happen in a few weeks, it's something else. It was still a good meeting, fought hard. I'll try to draw more positives.” source: http://www.tennis.com
